CBO Stimulus Score: 73% Spent in Next 19 Months

CBO Stimulus Bill Score
The House just passed H.R. 1 246-183-1 (which we predicted) and there is still misinformation out there, helped along my our Republican Congressional Delegate.
Most obvious is the claim that only 10% is being spent this year. This is false. I know this because the Congressional Budget Office released a report, Cost estimate for the conference agreement for H.R. 1 containing data which made the above graph. In FY2009, the fiscal year ending in September 30, 2009 $184.9 billion will be spent in both tax breaks and direct spending & appropriations. In FY2010 that number rises to $399.4 billion. Think about that: over $584.3 billion – 73% – will be spent in a mix of tax relief, direct spending and appropriations.
